Our Team | Little Pet Vet Perth

Meet the care team at Little Pet Vet.

Dr. Chris – BSc BVMS

Dr Chris pursued veterinary medicine as a way to make a meaningful difference in the lives of little pets and the people who care for them.

Drawing on his background in human nursing, animal welfare, fundraising, and not-for-profit leadership, Dr Chris brings a distinctive perspective to veterinary care — one shaped by compassion, community, accessibility, and practical insight.

Dr Chris has a thoughtful and progressive approach to clinical practice, with a particular interest in research and evidence-informed care that supports the comfort, treatment, and outcomes of little pets.

His ongoing work with rescue animals continues to inspire his commitment to making excellent veterinary care more accessible to little pets.

Dr Chloe – BSc DVM

Chloe graduated in 2025 and is thrilled to join the team at Little Pet Vet. She has a huge passion for animals, especially rabbits, and currently shares her home with four rabbits: Wombo, Wonder, Chansey and the newest addition, Harriette.

Chloe’s love for animals extends beyond veterinary medicine into her everyday hobbies, including painting animals, collecting animal-themed pins and trinkets, and exploring the neighbourhood in search of local wildlife.

Becoming a veterinarian has allowed Chloe to turn her passion into a meaningful career where she can support animals, advocate for their welfare, and make a positive impact within the community.

Chloe is excited to be part of the Little Pet Vet team and looks forward to meeting clients and their little furry family members.

Kathryne RVN APVN (Small Mammal)

Kathryne’s involvement in animal rescue and welfare, particularly with rabbits and guinea pigs, quickly highlighted the need for greater support, education, and advocacy for little pets. This experience motivated her to pursue veterinary nursing.

Kathryne completed her studies in 2020 and graduated with the Student of the Year award. She has since completed the Advanced Program in Veterinary Nursing of Small Mammals, further strengthening her knowledge and skills in caring for rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small mammals.

Kathryne is committed to helping little pets receive compassionate, species-specific veterinary care. She has a strong interest in behaviour and recognises that understanding behaviour is an important part of supporting every little pet’s health and wellbeing.

Michaela – RVN

Michaela has always had a keen interest in veterinary medicine, especially small companion animal care. Her love for rabbits led her to volunteer with Romeo’s Rabbit Rescue, where she helped rabbits in need by supporting foster carers, assisting with the adoption process, and fostering rabbits with special needs.

Michaela’s passion for rabbit health, welfare, and carer education inspired her to pursue veterinary nursing. While completing her studies, she gained valuable clinical experience at Little Pet Vet, where she has since become a qualified veterinary nurse and a dedicated member of the nursing team.

Michaela is passionate about providing excellent care for small companion animals, with particular interests in nutrition, preventative healthcare, and client education. She enjoys helping owners feel informed and confident by giving them the knowledge and tools they need to support their little pets’ health and happiness.

Claudia – RVN

Claudia started in the animal care world through founding the Guinea Pig Haven rescue. After many years, her interest in caring for the little creatures grew and led her to starting her Veterinary Nursing career at Little Pet Vet.

Her passion for rescue continues through LPV initiatives, which she is proud to be part of. She loves meeting every patient and their owners who come through the door, and still fosters guinea pigs when she can. At home, she has a herd of wheeking guinea pigs and a lazy frog.

Claudia has a special place in her heart for little creatures, able to provide guidance and knowledge tailored to their unique needs ensuring they can popcorn and binky happily on.
